Sean Batten has been named Britain’s best amateur photographer in the 2014 Sony World Photography Awards. Sean’s portfolio featuring the London Underground was featured in Advanced Photographer (September 2012). An exhibition of the Award winners takes place at London’s Somerset House, 1-18 May. As well as the winners and shortlisted entries from 139,000 entries, there is a collection of work from US photo journalist Mary Ellen Mark and some images from Sony ambassador William Klein’s latest commission.
