Sunburst Naoya Takahashi, a Tokyo-based street photographer, has a Film Simulation recipe for the scorching heat of sun-soaked cities “Sunburst means strong sunlight, but it also refers to a type of finish seen on instruments like guitars,” explains Naoya Takahashi, a street photographer based in Tokyo. “Typically, the centre features a bright colour, warm tones, while the outer edges are processed to appear gradually burnt and darkened. “To bring my photographs closer to a sunburst effect, the white balance of this recipe is shifted slightly towards warmer colours, toning down the cyan elements from CLASSIC Neg. The colour scheme is designed to make reds, yellows and
oranges – I feel that it really shines in sunny settings with good weather.” Instagram: @takahashi_naoya_candid
