Pacifica 100 Surf and sport photographer Dominic Stone tempers the punch of Velvia in a recipe perfect for ocean scenes Dominic Stone is a photographer from the West Coast of the US whose work documents running events and surf culture. Dominic’s Film Simulation recipe, Pacifica 100, subtly tames the saturation of Velvia while also improving the latitude of sea and sky tones through use of Color Chrome FX Blue. “I wanted to reduce the clarity to bring a bit of softness to an image that I expected to have stronger contrast,” he explains. “I also lifted the shadows just a touch to lean into that softness, almost working in tension with Velvia’s character.” Instagram: @domwstone
