This category is where just about all options are on the table! It’s for everything from narrative drama to documentaries, long or short films or anything that deserves a bigger audience – as long as it’s amazing! It can be all your own work, or where you worked as main filmmaker in a team. Last year, there were various fantastic entries from a wide range of subjects, including one from Mark Forbes who won for his Mother & Wild full-length indie feature film. The self-funded movie tells of a bereaved mum and daughter who take a trip to a seaside town in east Sussex as they reconnect after two years of being estranged. It is a though-provoking film that’s beautifully shot.
