POWERSOFT POWERS COVID MEMORIAL Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City created a commemorative site specifically to honour both the victims lost and frontline workers who served during the Covid-19 pandemic. The memorial features a stainless-steel sculpture, The Tear , as well as a small fountain and subtle background music to encourage quiet meditation and reflection. Hoàng Phú Sound handled the audio installation, selecting three Powersoft Quattrocanali 4804 DSP amplifiers. Required to operate 24/7 in a humid outdoor environment, over long speaker cables, the sound system needed to perform consistently and minimise signal loss under variable conditions. Powersoft’s Power Factor Correction technology allowed the amps to operate continuously, while the Quattrocanali 4804’s high-impedance output encouraged strong signal, even in a fixed installation of scale. Finally, Powersoft’s Smart Rails Management technology further improved efficiency, reducing energy consumption and temperature without compromising on quality. The audio system paired the Powersoft amps with Bose Professional loudspeakers, delivering music to the park’s commemorative and communal spaces, and a significant public project to Ho Chi Minh City.
