The resurgence of compact cameras continues, and Panasonic is answering the call with the Lumix DC-TZ300, which has a 1.0-type BSI CMOS sensor and a 15x Leica zoom lens covering the equivalent of 24-360mm. The 20.1-megapixel camera costs £869 and can focus as close as 3cm. It also records 4K video and high- speed 120fps video in HD. In the US, the camera is called the ZS300 and is $898. Leica lens for TZ P anasonic has reinforced its Lumix S 40mm f∕2 prime and revealing two further lenses. The first optic will be a fast, wide-angle prime designed to complement the Lumix S9 body, plus a large-aperture telephoto zoom. The L-Mount 40mm costs £349∕$398, is 40.9mm long and weighs 144g/ 0.32lb, pairing perfectly with the compact S9. The optic has a dust- and splash-resistant design, focus breathing suppression and micro-step aperture control. Panasonic UK has also added a black titanium edition of the S9 to the range, costing £1299.
