Following the release of the new ANAFI UAV in the summer, Parrot is now offering a major free ANAFI firmware and Skycontroller 3 remote control update and a FreeFlight 6 app with an optimised interface. The update includes setting the Smart Return Home minimum altitude (RTH), improved video streaming for Android smartphones, the ability for videos and photos to now be downloaded in the FreeFlight 6 app media gallery with all iOS and Android smartphones and more intuitive alerts for warning users when a specific action is required, allowing users to further understand the drone’s functions. In addition, this software update also includes new photo and video features and access to accurate imaging settings. The Mavic 2 Enterprise is the latest UAV model to be launched by DJI, and it very much has the professional user in its sights, offering a feature set that includes zoom imaging, modular accessories, heightened security and airspace protection. Touted as ‘the world’s most capable commercial drone,’ this is a UAV that’s designed for those working for, or alongside, the likes of firefighters, emergency response and law enforcement teams and those carrying out infrastructure inspections. These are all areas that many drone operators are already targeting, often while also undertakingmore conventional filmmaking assignments, and the dedicated toolset that the Mavic 2 Enterprise offers could well make it an indispensable piece of kit. The UAV carries a high-resolution, 12-megapixel camera that’s stabilised by Built for business

a three-axis gimbal. Designed for dynamic operations, the camera extends the pilot’s sense of sight with a 2x optical and 3x digital zoom, improving the ability of drones to identify and inspect dangerous or difficult areas, as well as to help emergency services protect life and property. A set of newDJI accessories can be mounted to the drone’s body and operated through the flight control app. These include a spotlight with a brightness of 2,400 lumens, a loudspeaker with a maximumprojection of 100 decibels and a beacon that features a bright flashing strobe visible three miles away. The Mavic 2 Enterprise is designed with new features to protect the integrity of photos, videos, flight logs and other data generated during sensitive flights. The UAV also incorporates 24GB of onboard data storage and password protection for access to the drone’s functions and stored data.
