it did mean that he had to think carefully about how he was going to approach this project while he also needed to work out a feasible strategy that would enable him to achieve the variety of shots he needed to put together a watchable production. Accessories such as a slider enabled some movement to be added, while David also went for some attractive shots from height that called for him to be suspended somewhat precariously in a cradle secured by steel pegs that had been hammered into the sheer rock face that Yann was due to scale. With his Canon EOS C300 MkII and Atomos monitor contained within a well-balanced rig David had to place his entire trust in the strength of this arrangement and it didn’t let him down. whole project could come crashing down should anything fail to be backed up and subsequently be lost. Fully aware of the potential for disaster David made a point of heading back to his nearby van on a regular basis to back his Atomos SSD up to his G-Technology G-Speed Shuttle SSD, using a Thunderbolt 3 connection to ensure the speed of transfer he required.
