The fundamental technology decision to invest in standard IT and software is the only way to maximise cost savings and ROI. DARREN GOSNEY: Much of the value today comes from finding ways to do more with the infrastructure and people you already have. That might mean moving video onto standard IP networks, making it easier for teams to work remotely or collaboratively, or bringing core stages of production and post into a connected workflow. If content can move more easily from acquisition through live production, post and delivery, there are obvious efficiencies in both time and cost.
