of the last six years, and winning the Renfrewshire Inter Club trophy four times in the last eight years. There is an enthusiastically competitive element in the club, but it is recognised that it is also important not to lose sight of providing an interesting and challenging programme of activities at home. The club programme aims to increase members’ skills, encourage people to try different genres of photography and occasionally come out of their comfort zone. Workshops organised by club members – as well as outings to places of interest or to improve members expertise and knowledge of a particular genre – are also popular. Most of all though, members are encouraged to get out and about with their cameras to take advantage of the wonderful opportunities that are available in Scotland, especially for landscape and nature photography. Members probably get most enthusiastic about guest speakers, who themselves enjoy their photography and who share their own expertise and that enjoyment with their audience. Eastwood PS is a welcoming and friendly club whose aims are to encourage people with an interest in photography to learn new skills, to be the best they can be, and to get outdoors with their camera and enjoy this wonderful hobby. winning the Photography News / Fujifilm UK Camera Club of the Year in 2017-18. Members were thrilled with this achievement and the added recognition it has given to the club. It would be fair to say that the club's four team members found the final shoot-out stressful and challenging, but at the same time it was exciting to pit their skills against the four other finalists. Following on from this, the club decided to have a go on the world stage, entering 20 images for the 2018 FIAP Clubs’ World Cup. Members were again delighted to find out they had finished in a great eighth place out of 188 clubs who took part worldwide. Much closer to home, recent achievements have included regular top three placing in SPF print and digital competitions, leading to representing Scotland in PAGB annual competitions, winning the Glasgow and District Inter Club Digital League trophy four times out
