ocated adjacent to the Cambridge University Botanic Garden, MPW Cambridge is a friendly, successful and thriving independent college. The students come from a variety of backgrounds and the college’s aim is to provide bespoke and flexible timetables geared to individual circumstances. It is a wonderful choice for both GCSE and A-levels, with students gaining top tier university places on competitive courses including law, medicine, engineering, maths and sciences. Crucially, Ofsted (November 2019) recognised the quality of MPW’s all-round provision by awarding the college ‘outstanding’ in every category. This year, MPW has once again been placed in the top 1% of A-level educational providers in the UK by the Department for Education. Following this, summer 2019 proved to be another year for outstanding A-level results, the college’s best in five years, with students achieving tremendous success in all subjects. Overall, 70% of all A-level entries achieved grades of A*-B. As one of the UK’s leading independent fifth- and sixth-form colleges, the team at MPW prides itself on having created an environment where students enjoy working hard. A degree of informality outside the classroom is balanced by an intensive teaching approach within the classroom, where each tutor shares the common objective of helping students to succeed and, when necessary, goes that extra mile to do so. In addition, many of the tutors are examiners or write textbooks for the subjects that they teach. MPW’s commitment to education also includes the following: Ƚ Ƚ A guaranteed maximum class size of nine students for GCSE and A-level.

Ƚ Ƚ A programme of timetabled weekly one-hour tests, under exam conditions, in addition to regular lessons. Ƚ Ƚ A unique one-to-one, weekly personal tutor system that enables all students to achieve their full potential. Academic progress, university applications and general welfare all feature prominently. Ƚ Ƚ Expert UCAS advice. Ƚ Ƚ Specialist university entrance books published by MPW for MPW students. The personalised approach begins with an interview offering a tailored educational plan and continues throughout a student’s time at the college with weekly 1:1
