2023 marked 100 years of the NAB Show, and there’s no better place to celebrate than fabulous Las Vegas. The Definition team met with industry leaders, got their hands on new products and experienced cutting-edge production technology

O n Saturday 15 April, the Definition team convened in Las Vegas, Nevada for a long-awaited appearance at this year’s NAB Show. For some, it was our first time, while others were Vegas veterans. On Sunday morning, we trekked from The Linq Hotel to the Las Vegas Convention Centre via the futuristic monorail. Our first stop was the central hall, where we watched a virtual production demo – the ‘Unreal Ride’ – by MRMC and Vū. We then split up, meeting with Brompton Technology, Marshall and Videndum before reconvening later on.

Monday began bright and early with breakfast at the Renaissance Hotel. Throughout the day we visited over 15 stalls, including our friends over at Fujifilm and Blackmagic Design. That afternoon, we attended ‘A Conversation with Brett Goldstein’, held on the main stage, moderated by Ashley Nicole Black. On our third and final day, we saw over 20 stalls and some familiar faces at Signiant, Ssimwave, Aputure and Arri, to name a few. We also dropped by the Streaming Summit before heading home. As with every NAB Show, a few key trends emerged, clueing us into
