REMOTE WORKING TVU Networks has announced Partyline, a new development for social production. With Partyline, call participants can achieve a unique level of communication and interaction from remote locations as though they were in the same studio while producing live and pre-recorded programming. “The global Covid-19 pandemic has shifted the dynamic of TV production collaboration, requiring talent and technical staff to produce programming from their living rooms,” explains TVU Networks CEO, Paul Shen. “Thus far, they’ve relied on readily available video conferencing solutions that have significant limitations.”

SELF-TESTING Phabrix has announced that its Qx rasteriser and Sx TAG successfully passed its self-testing criteria. QX RASTERISER The Qx ST 2110 JT-NM self-tested core IP feature set provides an operator with all of the ST 2110 confidence status, monitoring in an intuitive way. It is designed for HD IP ST 2110/2022-7 AMWA NMOS and ST 2022-6 environments. The ST 2110 toolset supports simultaneous decapsulation of one video, two audio and one ANC data flow. Audio handling conforms to ST 2210-30 Class C with support for 48kHz streams from one to ten channels with packet times of 1ms and one to 80 channels at packet times of 125 microseconds. SX TAG IP The Sx TAG offers comprehensive support for modern broadcast IP systems with JT-NM self-tested encapsulation and decapsulation of ST 2110-20/30/31/40 WITH IP to SDI gateway, ST 2059 PTP and AMWA NMOS, as well as ST 2022-6. Hybrid operation is supported with a built-in synchroniser that allows asynchronous SDI sources to be locked to PTP for ST 2110 encapsulation.

The virtual environment within Partyline is made possible with a real- time interactive layer (RTIL), TVU’S patented Inverse StatMux Plus (IS+). All participants are granted access through a shared URL, which allows them to watch all programme feeds live, and interact, discuss, control and participate in the production in real time, as if they were in the same physical location.
