Whether you are shooting fighter jets, a football free-for- all, or high-flying finches on the wing, speed is everything when it comes to capturing movement. Lots of power options to keep the camera running for long periods of time, often in inclement weather, are a must. And that’s exactly what Fujifilm has done, with the X-H2S mirrorless camera – the flagship of the popular X Series, but at a surprisingly low price of £2499/$2499 body only. It sets new standards in terms of video and stills performance. At the heart of X-H2S is a fifth- generation, 26.16-megapixel X-Trans sensor that is the first APS-C model to use the latest stacked design for the
fastest performance. Matched to the new X-Processor 5, this allows a blackout-free viewfinder with no detectable lag, so you can always keep up with the action. It also allows for an improvement in resolution at low ISO settings and reduced noise at high ISO sensitivity in stills, with improved AF accuracy, thanks to AI tech and on-sensor phase detection. Filming is possible in very data-rich, 4:2:2 10-bit settings at up to 6.2K/30p and 4K/120p – as well as HD up to 240fps in a huge choice of codecs and an extensive range of bit rates and bit depths.
