Cambridge Edition December 2021 - Web

SAVOUR & S I P

FIREAWAY OPENS Pizza chain Fireaway has opened a branch here in Cambridge, promising 180-second ‘designer’ pizzas with a huge selection of toppings – sweet and savoury! The brand was founded in 2016, inspired by a recipe from owner Mario Aleppo’s nonna, and has since grown to 75 outposts around the UK. You can find the latest addition on Perne Road, offering pizzas created with freshly made dough and cooked over fire at 400°C, for a delicious charred effect. There’s a commitment to quality ingredients: tomatoes hail fromNaples, flour from the mills of Milan, and veg is sourced locally. As well as classic combos, you can build your own pizza with whatever toppings you fancy – and for dessert? We’ve got our eye on the Nutella and banana number….

ELLE-EVENTS POP-UP PARTY! Wondering where to book for a Chrimbo get-together? Elle-Events and 2648 might have just the ticket. The two have teamed up for a Christmas party experience throughout December, which can be tailored to your tastes – whether you fancy a murder mystery evening, cocktails and canapes, or a hands-in-the-air disco. Chef Jason B Howard (of Shanty) is overseeing food, with options including wild mushroom tartlet and truffle cream. Visit the Elle-Events website for more info.

Tea at Parker’s Tavern The eagerly awaited Parker’s Tavern Christmas afternoon tea is back and ready to delight your taste buds!
