“IFYOU KEEP INTEGRATING SYSTEMSAND BUILDING ON YOUR CURRENT INFRASTRUCTURE, YOU’RE JUST COMPOUNDING YOUR PROBLEM”

FEED: How do you start incorporating your content into a network like this?

TRACIE MITCHELL: This is where I come in. I’m building processes that help you onboard on to the Content Fabric network and remove the complexity of getting on to blockchain. Employing a secure digital identity system, users can register for a Greenfish account. The Greenfish solution creates an Ethereum blockchain wallet, then allows you to use the digital identity system to connect to that wallet. The next step will be to provide users with the capability to ingest content into the Fabric, and the Greenfish suite of applications will integrate with other blockchain networks in the future. The current dilemma is how to integrate this with existing technology. In the world ofWeb 3.0, we really don’t want to integrate backwards. For example, companies are asking if their current workflow can be upgraded to blockchain. But it’s very complex to integrate backwards when you’re integrating six to ten databases. Why do that when you’ve got this new database that not only manages

media, but also the data surrounding it? It’s infinitely scalable. It’s the new database – it’s the new internet. As with all media companies and digital supply chain providers, this new technology infrastructure will change the status quo moving forwards. If you keep integrating systems and building on your current infrastructure, you are just compounding the problem. Anyone who wants to manage digital media in this future landscape needs to put some serious thought into looking at blockchain and what business benefits it can enable. It’s a very exciting time to be in the media industry!
