T here is still time for you to vote in the annual Pro 3 November. These are the world’s number one awards for filmmaking equipment and services, where every single winner is decided by the professionals who use the kit. It’s all about recognising new Moviemaker Gear of the Year Awards, which close on technology and proven products that make a big difference to the working lives of filmmakers. Whether it’s hardware, software or service providers, these awards are now in their fifth year – recognising the very best in the business. From cameras and lenses, to stabilisers, tripods, microphones, bags and

so much more, these categories allow the highest-quality, most- innovative companies to shine. Nominees are put forward by the editorial team and gear testers of Pro Moviemaker magazine, but it’s you, the readers, who are the essential part of the judging. Please vote, as it is vital in deciding who – and what – should be honoured. Just like last year, we also have six Editor’s Choice awards, for equipment that deserves special recognition. These include the key categories of mirrorless cameras, cinema cameras, audio, support, lighting and special innovation. But the rest of the awards are decided by you.
