11-year-old Indigo Larmour’s love of photography started when she was eight years old and‘borrowed’one of her mum’s cameras. “I fell in love with the way I could see the world through a camera,”she says. “Since then our travels have allowed me to capturemany amazing places and the people who live there. Being a childmeans I often view everyday activities froma different perspective. I have loved living in India because there’s always something interesting happening and the colours are so beautiful. I’ve enjoyed usingmy photos for school projects including one highlighting the effects of pollution on wildlife that I did at my school in India last year. Photographing wildlife is difficult at my age though because the lenses are so big and heavy! “When I get older I’d love to be a photographer, and highlight environmental issues and tell stories of the people I meet through photos.” YOUNG TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHER OFTHE YEAR IndigoLarmour, Ireland
