AUTOMATING CAPTIONS Developers of the Cablecast Community Media automation platform, Tightrope Media Systems, has announced a new partnership with ENCO Systems. The partnership aims to create tailored configurations of ENCO’s enCaption automated captioning solution. “The Cablecast platform already preserves existing closed captions in live and file-based content, but the captions themselves must be created externally,” said Steve Israelsky, president of Cablecast Community Media. “By partnering with ENCO to offer this proven combination, we can save community media centres the time and effort of separately researching, purchasing and implementing a captioning solution,” he explained.
