only one Wireless GO. It’s suitable for everything from vox pops in the street to a few words with celebs on the red carpet. And, it provides excellent audio quality. By using two Wireless GO kits, plus the DCS-1 dual coldshoe mount and SC11 TRS splitter cable, you can go even further. You could have one Wireless GO mic – maybe with a lavalier – on your reporter, so their questions can be recorded clearly and their subject’s answers heard via the Interview GO kit. That stops the awkward back-and-forth scenario, where a reporter has to point the mic at themselves to ask a question before aiming it at the subject to hear the answer, then again pointing it to themselves for a follow-up. For dual presenters, you could have two Interview GO mics set up, so both can be heard crystal clear – this is essential for sports presenters when there is a lot of background noise in a big stadium. Along with the Lavalier GO, Magclip GO, DCS-1 dual coldshoe mount and SC11 TRS splitter cable, the Interview GO helps create a total Wireless GO ecosystem that delivers amazing quality as easily as possible, in a simple and compact form that works flawlessly and is also surprisingly affordable. IMAGES Being able to have two separate audio sources recorded to the camera is a game-changer. The DCS-1 dual coldshoe and SC11 splitter cable make this so easy. You could use two Wireless GO kits, for example, to record two interviewees. Or one Wireless GO RX unit and a shotgun mic like the RØDE VideoMic NTG

camera’s audio input and the double end into the Wireless GO units. The audio from both mics are recorded to two separate channels inside your camera, so they can be edited separately and then combined into a final signal during post. It’s very simple and easy to do. Having two inputs that can be combined so easily, as well as a double mounting plate, opens up new possibilities for different shoots. Of course, you don’t have to use two Wireless GO receivers. You could have one Wireless GO record your subject talking, and an on-camera shotgun mic, like the RØDE VideoMic NTG, record ambient noise. Or, for example, you could have two shotgun mics on the camera pointed in different directions to record what’s going on in front and behind the camera. And as the DCS-1 dual coldshoe mount also has a standard ¼-20 thread on the bottom, you could even mount it to a camera cage, tripod or recorder. Having the ability to mount two devices safely, and get the audio signal into your camera or recorder, gives even more options for awesome audio. 6. Get out and report! A final accessory that makes so much sense is the Interview GO kit. This is a handle accessory that converts the Wireless GO transmitter into a light and compact handheld interview or reporter mic. The Wireless GO TX unit clips inside the lightweight adapter, and you fit the foam windshield on the top to reduce wind and plosive noises. It’s the fastest way to get a reporter’s mic set up quickly and it makes for ideal, quick multi-person interviews, with

5. Double up to record two subjects Recording two subjects in an interview is one of the most common filming situations, but recording quality audio can be problematic as two transmitters can’t send a signal to one receiver for simultaneous recording. So, RØDE has come up with a way to record interviews as simply as possible. You need two Wireless GO kits – one TX for each of the talking heads. These two transmitters send their signal to the matching two receivers. Though, mounting these securely and getting the signal into the camera can be tricky. RØDE’s answer is the DCS-1 dual coldshoe mount and the SC11 TRS splitter cable. The compact, all-metal DCS-1 fits to your standard camera hotshoe and has two coldshoe mounts on the top, which can accommodate anything with a standard coldshoe fitment, such as mics or a pair of Wireless GO receivers. Instead of using the standard 3.5mm coiled Wireless GO cable, use the SC11 splitter cable. This is for connecting two mono outputs to a stereo input – which your camera or recorder has. Simply plug the single one end of the cable into the
