With a slightly frightening- looking avatar, Snapchat’s new conversational AI feature, My AI, was born. Pinned to the top of users’ conversation pages, it turns out that only paid subscribers could remove it. Despite mixed reviews – but mostly negative – a Snapchat spokesperson said to the BBC that the vast majority of people with early access to My AI had been enjoying it, with millions of messages sent per day.
