ALL FUN AND GAMES Retro gaming nights are back at the Centre for Computing History – and this Halloween, you can look forward to some creepy interactive action. On Friday 29 October, there’s a horror-themed games evening to look forward to, followed by a spooky family gaming night on Saturday 30 October. The venue is happy for you to order in a takeaway, so come along, get stuck in, and celebrate the scary season while supporting the work of the centre. HAUNTED HOUSE For the ultimate realistic horror experience, head to Hinchingbrooke House in Huntingdon from 23-30 October. It delivers a dose of pure adrenaline as you journey through the venue’s dark rooms, forests and mazes, hunted by a conglomeration of weapon-wielding, costume-clad actors – all lurking in the shadows to give you the fright of your life. INTO THE WOODS Explore a terrifying trail at Stanwick Lakes from 25-31 October. This self-led event is Halloween fun for all the family, created by Rockingham Forest Trust. Visit the site to help The Stanwick Sorceress remember the spell for her magic potion, with a spooky prize up for grabs for all those who complete the trail using the accompanying Book of Secrets activity leaflet. You can pick up yours from The Snack Shack or Visitor Centre reception on the day to get involved! Scary spotlights A FEW OF THE BEST HALLOWEEN-THEMED EVENTS HAPPENING IN THE AREA
ambridge Junction offers the chance to experience an intoxicating mix of cabaret and
edgy circus entertainment at this year’s Club Cirque special from Neon Moon. This Halloween, the much-anticipated event embraces a playful new dress-up theme – the haunted toyshop – so consider this a cue to get creative with your outfit! At this intoxicating event, anything goes. The party kicks off at 8pm, with cocktails and face paint galore to get you in the mood. And then, from 9pm until 11pm, the cabaret and circus show is guaranteed to thrill, with stunning international talents and spellbinding burlesque performers gracing venue’s main stage. But the fun doesn’t stop there; it’s followed by a rousing swing-and-bass set from DJ Fizzy Gillespie to keep you dancing into the early hours. Club Cirque hits Cambridge Junction on 30 October, and you ’ re advised to pick up tickets in advance, as this is Neon Moon’s most popular party of the year. Find them on Eventbrite.
