The compact 4K cameras replace older systems, delivering high-quality images while fitting discreetly into limited spaces. Designed for broadcast and digital production, the BRC-AM7 offers AI-powered framing, remote operation and flexible integration. NRJ said the upgrade supports demand for video content from radio, including live broadcasts, social media clips and online programming. Sony said the project is an example of how PTZ technology is helping to transform modern radio studios for efficient audiovisual production.

MAKITO MAKES EUROPE DEBUT The Makito One video transport platform and Falkon X4 5G mobile video transmitter will make their European debut at IBC 2026. Makito One is a fully configurable video transport platform, while Falkon X4 is Haivision’s newest mobile video transmitter, purpose-built for remote production of live sports and 24/7 news.
RIGHTS TO RUGBY ITV will exclusively broadcast the 2027 Men’s Rugby World Cup in the UK, showing all 52 matches from Australia. The expanded 24-team tournament will feature live coverage, highlights and analysis across ITV, ITVX and YouTube. The deal continues ITV’s long association with rugby, dating back to 1991.
PARAMOUNT DELAYS WBD MERGER Paramount has agreed to postpone its planned merger with Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) amid legal challenges from US states and a writers’ union. The $83bn deal will now wait until after an antitrust trial or until June 2027. The delay allows Paramount to address the competition concerns.
