For Cortadellas, light became the defining narrative device. “We found ourselves with a visual poem in which light is more than a technical resource: it is the soul of the story. It is not simply about capturing reality, but revealing the emotion within it.”

Ensuring that image quality was preserved throughout the HDR workflow was another requirement. “For quality control of the international UHD-HDR HLG signal, the technology of the 4000cd/m² Grade 1 mastering monitor, the BVM-HX3110, allowed us to work in HLG1000ETX and 2000EXT, guaranteeing the quality of the image distributed worldwide.” Ultimately, though, this combination of technologies served a much broader creative ambition. Creative director Igor Cortadellas wanted the production

to move beyond straightforward event coverage, instead creating imagery that reflected both the spiritual significance of the occasion and the extraordinary architecture surrounding it. “We were looking for a cinematic image, both rich and profound, capable of conveying the essence and narrative sensitivity inherent in this story. “We wanted the audio-visual language used here to transmit a timeless message that blends immersion in the traditions of an ancient spiritual culture with its integration into the present.”
