as a huge project, Cambridgeshire-based Prestige Traditional Windows and Doors tells us to always seek advice first. The company can replace and install any type of glazing, and replace timber windows and doors, particularly pertinent for those living in conservation areas. “Window replacements can be pricey,” says Prestige. “But with the right guidance, your existing windows could well be in good enough condition to have a revamp using our renovation service, and thus preserve the history of your home.” One popular home improvement is the addition of increased storage. Neatsmith, an expert in bespoke wardrobes, says it has seen an increase in the demand for bespoke wardrobe spaces in recent years, which it thinks is a result of the popularity of ‘improve don’t move’. Neatsmith’s director Philipp Nagel explains: “In a difficult housing market, wardrobes and dressing rooms are moving up the list of desired renovated spaces in a house. Many are beginning to see wardrobes as more than just a vessel and more like a statement feature. Neatsmith’s Reflex glass doors, for instance, create a museum-like effect for displaying beautiful clothing and accessories that can facilitate this aesthetic.”
