KIDS EAT FREE!

If you’re feeling the post-Christmas pinch but still want to treat the family to a meal out, then Mill Road’s favourite neighbourhood pizzeria, Scott’s All Day, has launched a scheme that allows children to dine for free throughout January. “We chose to launch this offer because we know how hard it is for families around the Christmas holidays; we wanted to give them the chance to still be able to enjoy eating out,” says founder Scott Holden. The kid’s menu is bound to satisfy even the fussiest of hungry tummies, with weekend brunches including pancakes and syrup. There’s also affordable set menus featuring sourdough pizzetta and favourites like pomodoro pasta. The offer is available from 9am to 10am on Saturdays and Sundays, and 5pm to 6pm Tuesday to Saturday, applicable to one child per paying adult.

SPRING IN ITS STEP Following a six-figure investment into a transformative makeover, The Fountain in Soham has officially re- opened its doors. As an historic pub, The Fountain has long been a staple of the local community, but now it now has a new lease of life thanks to a revamp from the award-winning Craft Union Pub Company. The refresh includes a new interior decor, a multi-purpose function room and the installation of a high-spec dartboard for punters to enjoy. “We can’t wait to welcome the local community back to the re-vamped pub! We are really proud to be at the helm of this venue and are excited for what the future holds,” remark The Fountain’s new operators, Sylvia and Phil. Benefitting from a wealth of experience in the hospitality sector, the duo have plenty of plans up their sleeves to keep this community favourite alive, including charity initiatives and a sparkling new entertainment schedule. Visitors can expect bingo, quizzes and live events spotlighting musicians and other talented performers. “With such a fantastic space to bring pub-goers together, it’s a privilege to be part of The Fountain – we’ll see you soon for a drink (or two!).”
