RENTA L ROUND TABL E INDUS TRY.

BEARD: We can’t have this conversation without talking about service. It’s all very well having the biggest ranges and the latest kit, but it means nothing without award-winning customer service – which is why we’re so proud of ours, together with the fantastic Trustpilot reviews we receive. As ever-increasing demands are being put on production houses, big and small, our support is essential. From initial contact, our experienced team is on hand to guide customers through the process and offer advice, whenever needed. We even check orders at every stage for compatibility with existing kit, making sure nothing gets overlooked. At Hireacamera, we understand preparation is the key to a successful shoot. That’s why we follow rigorous

processes to ensure everything is checked and accounted for before it leaves the premises, and again on its return. It’s this obsessive attention to detail that means you can rely on us to provide the very highest level of service, delivering equipment that’s checked, cleaned and calibrated – ready to shoot with, straight away. HARRISON: Training and education. An important part of who we are in the rental industry is that we are perpetually training the next generation of camera and grip technicians, helping them on their way to becoming successful crew members. In our opinion, the best crew come from rental houses, as they’re exposed to the equipment and learn technicalities and requirements, so when they get out there, they’re ready. A rental house offers a fantastic base to learn from. We have had a steady flow of camera and grip preps go into the world of camera assisting, gripping or lighting. Fortunately, we have maintained and managed our prep teams pretty well, considering the current demand for new crew and the AC headhunting going on. But we’re always proud to see our young prep staff spread their wings and take the plunge into the freelance world.

“An important part of who we are in the rental industry is that we are perpetually training the next generation of camera and grip technicians” bringing a formalised entry point to the sector. While still in its infancy and undergoing some growing pains, this is a scheme we are fully behind and look forward to seeing how this feeds into the business in general.
