Tennessee Williams’ The Glass Menagerie is coming to Cambridge Amateur theatre company Combined Actors of Cambridge will be performing The Glass Menagerie at the ADC Theatre, 15-19 April. This Tennessee Williams classic focuses on faded Southern belle Amanda Wingfield, her son the aspiring poet Tom and his physically fragile sister Laura who collects glass figurines. “It’s one of the great plays of the 20th century,” says publicist Alex Priestley. “As one of the foremost American playwrights, Tennessee Williams’ work is regularly studied at A-level. The play explores themes of love, loyalty, humour and resentment that can break apart a family or bind it together,” says Alex. “It’s moving, funny, poignant and tragic in turns.” A GLASS ACT AT THE ADC THEATRE
