IBC has always been about showcasing technical innovation to an industry hungry for the latest trends, so it’s no surprise that the show would come up with new ways of reaching its audience – and it’s maybe fitting that the world’s biggest broadcasting event will be literally that – a virtual show aired to devices across the world. In terms of this new reach, it will surely garner its biggest ever audience. WHAT’S ON? So what will this year’s virtual IBC look like? Well, though we all love the buzz of a show, and

‘The show must go on’ has echoed through media and entertainment for longer than anyone cares to remember. And right now, IBC Showcase – the online version of the IBC Show – is living up to it. So while travel restrictions and social distancing mean the show won’t be filling Amsterdam’s cavernous RAI centre, those silent halls don’t spell the end. In fact, instead of silence, let’s call it hushed anticipation. Yes, this year, IBC Showcase brings all the latest tech, trends and trade talks direct to you at home – a virtual mega event running online between 8-11 September.
