With such a wide application to so many different production elements, Lawo’s VSM team is continuously upgrading and adapting its compatibility with other vendors. “We fully support the best-of-breed designs of our customers, , so we have to connect with all devices out there,” says Kern. “We work with projects where the main products are from competing manufacturers, but the customers like what VSM brings into the game. We are vendor agnostic, and that’s the key to success. As the broadcast industry migrates into a fully IP-connected space, integration and collaboration is going to be essential not just for technology but also for the people using it. Lawo is hoping to take the lead in that transition, and it looks like it’s well on the way.
