ADVERT I SEMENT F EATURE

KEEPING THE EAST ANGLIAN AIR AMBULANCE IN THE SKIES EAAA is Cambridge Edition’s chosen charity of the year. Here’s how you can help with its life-saving mission

GET TREKKING WITH TREK 24! After cancelling fundraising events in 2020, EAAA once again looks forward to bringing people together in support of its life-saving crews. In September, an exciting walking event, Trek 24, is coming to Bedfordshire. Put your daily lockdown walks to the test by joining the charity for either a 24km or 24-mile trek on Saturday 4 September. Starting and finishing within Hexton Manor’s beautiful grounds, walkers will enjoy stunning countryside views and the money raised will help the charity begin flying 24/7 this year, assisting more people in their hour of need. After trialling Trek 24 in Norfolk in 2019, raising more than £100,000 for the charity, EAAA is excited to bring this walking challenge closer to Cambridgeshire. Find out more (or explore the Norfolk and Suffolk routes) at trek-24.co.uk

EAAA is always looking for volunteers to make these fundraising events possible. If you’d like to help, but walking isn’t for you, get in touch to volunteer on the day instead. Please email volunteering@eaaa.org.uk or call 03450 669 999 if you’d like to help. WOULD YOU LIKE TO VOLUNTEER INSTEAD?

GET UP AND GO YELLOW To help keep its yellow helicopters flying and saving lives, EAAA is encouraging support for its annual Get Up and Go Yellow fundraising campaign this June. It includes a series of creative challenges, including Get Up and Grow Yellow, a sunflower growing competition; Get Up and Bake Yellow, an opportunity to show off your cookery skills; and Get Up and Fly Yellow, a virtual balloon race. There’s also Get Up and Sew Yellow, as well as plenty of opportunites to Go Yellow in schools. Get involved by visiting eaaa.org.uk/yellow
