INTRODUCING MEET CUTE Discover the brand-new dating agency that’s setting up singles for their perfect romantic moment

nyone that’s tried online dating knows all too well what it feels

like to search for a needle in a haystack. Presented with an endless stream of potential matches, hours can be spent trawling through profiles, separating the wheat from the chaff – all in the hope of finding your next partner. Chances are, swiping and algorithms are a far cry from the spontaneous romantic encounter you fantasised about in your youth – and you’d be right to think you deserve better when it comes to finding love; everyone should taste their own ‘meet-cute’ moment! (Think Cameron Diaz and Jude Law’s characters crossing paths unexpectedly in The Holiday , or Romeo and Juliet laying eyes on each other for the first time across a crowded dance hall.) Rescuing traditional meet-cutes from the realm of fiction is Dee Modric, professional recruiter and founder of newly launched dating agency Meet Cute. “From my experience of using online dating sites, and with my background in recruitment, I just knew that I could do things so much better than a website that dictates who you should meet,” she explains. “I wanted to add my own personal touch, stripping it back to how it used to be, returning to the good old days where you could have your own meet-cute! “We’re aiming at professional singles aged 30-plus, who are ready to have a meaningful relationship and have high expectations – people who don’t want to end up with absolutely anyone, just

so you don’t have to say you’re on your own. It’s also for those who want to leave the digital world behind, and those wary of online dating – who perhaps have had negative experiences, or are fed up with an algorithm choosing a partner for them.” Meet Cute acts as a ‘proxy friend’, introducing its members to someone they think will make a great match, based on common interests and values. “What makes us different from online dating is that we offer the ‘human touch’ – we’re real people with our members’ best interests at heart,” says Dee. “It can seem like a massive investment to join an agency, but you will probably save yourself a lot of time and feel a lot more confident with us.” As well as finding you a match, Meet Cute will help you prepare for the date, offering life coaching to boost confidence and spot where things have gone wrong in

the past, plus personal shopping and styling services. They’ll take care of arranging your first meeting – you won’t be shown a photo in advance, but will instead be given a clue to identify your date. If it doesn’t go as well as you hoped, you’ll have the chance to give feedback to Meet Cute, so they can get it right the next time – or you may just be on your way to the love story you’ve been waiting for. “You might not drive off into the sunset, get married and live happily ever after, but we aim to deliver a lovely romance,” says Dee. “We create the perfect meet-cute moment and leave it up to the individuals to write their stories.” Visit meetcute.vip to find your ideal match, and follow @hellomeetcute on Facebook for regular dating tips and updates
