CENTRES OF ATTENTION
FROM AN OPULENT TABLE SPREAD TO WARM FIRESIDE EMBELLISHMENTS, AMAZE GUESTS BY SPRUCING UP THESE FESTIVE FOCAL POINTS
THE TREE Perhaps the most pivotal part of Christmas celebrations, the tree is where most of your decorating will be focused, setting the theme for the rest of your interiors. “I like to build up the decorations slowly using a couple of colours – and one metallic for the core decor – then adding a few personal touches at the end,” explains Felicity. If you don’t have a tree this year, fear not. “I find a lot of clients who live in cities have very limited space and nowhere to put a tree,” says Sara. “This doesn’t mean they have to miss out – some gorgeous twigs in a large vase with hanging paper decorations
or an oversized wreath on their front door can give just as much impact.” THE TABLE An anchor to your festive feast, adorning the dinner table with themed ornaments and green sprigs is positive to have your guests raving about the Christmas roast. “The aesthetic of the dining table needs to follow the trend that is present in the rest of your styling,” advises Katie. “Think carefully about your centrepiece – you can definitely go with the trend, or you could dare to try something completely different and surprising.”

“Adding a floral or foliage display alongside ornaments or lights, either in the middle of the table or running the length if you have space, is fun and creative,” adds Felicity. “When setting up, think about adding a little personalised place card with a decoration or piece of foliage to really enhance the table set-up.” THE MANTELPIECE The real heart of the home, a fireplace is where you’ll likely be sitting around getting toasty, maybe even roasting some chestnuts – and so festooning it will not go amiss. “Think about small decorations, candelabra, garlands and candles which help to create a warm atmosphere,” suggests Katie.
