IMAGING HAS NEVER been in a healthier state, judging by the huge number of pictures taken and video footage being shot every day. It’s great news – and shows the appetite for producing content is as strong as ever, fuelled by the kit, software and services at our disposal. The Photography News Awards were first introduced in order to recognise and reward all that’s wonderful in our industry, from the best cameras and lenses to essential peripherals including storage, lighting and colour management. Of course, the business is not just about shiny kit; we need dealers to sell it, hire services to administer it, and insurance providers for their projection when something unforeseen inevitably happens. Put another way, our awards boast categories for virtually every aspect of imaging and we are truly grateful for your support, so thanks to everyone who voted.
