ADVERT I SEMENT FEATURE

the children to be internationally minded ensures they value and respect the different cultures and languages of classmates. Each child has their own individualised targets, so they are learning, aspiring and fulfilling their own academic potential. LEARNING AND CURRICULUM Focus is on the quality of learning, with an emphasis on the question: ‘Am I getting better?’ A diverse and exciting curriculum is provided using a topic-based approach, allowing in-depth enquiry into questions related to science, history and geography, with links to art, design and technology. The learning in mathematics and English follows the UK National Curriculum, with specialist lessons in Spanish, music, sport and forest school. As an international school, language provision is an important part of the day. Along with Spanish lessons from the age of three, those who speak a different language from English at home can receive two lessons a week in their ‘mother tongue’, and support with English

as an Additional Language (EAL) is integrated into learning in the classroom. CHERRY HINTON HALL AND BEYOND The spacious green landscape of Cherry Hinton Hall Park allows many opportunities for the children to play and explore outside the classroom. Along with pupils going to forest school, outdoor space is used for learning, play, exercise and simply appreciating nature. To further support learning, children take trips into Cambridge and beyond, visiting museums, galleries and other spaces that can inspire and motivate.
