King’s Ely

K ing’s Ely parents, Mr and Mrs Youll, provide their perspective on their daughter’s experience with the school. Our daughter, Isobel, joined King’s Ely in 2024. Isobel was seeking a change, a fresh environment offering excellent academic opportunities alongside a nurturing, vibrant community where she could truly flourish. Although we visited several high- profile schools in Cambridgeshire, few resonated with us as deeply, and none conveyed the promise of personal growth we wished for Isobel. Since Isobel joined King’s, she has blossomed. She loves lessons and speaks glowing praises about her teachers and housemistress. At a fee-paying school, one naturally anticipates outstanding education and pastoral care; however, at King’s these qualities are not merely met, they are genuinely exceeded.

Isobel has embraced new challenges by undertaking an EPQ and participating in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. She thoroughly enjoys her tennis and netball lessons, and her predicted A-level grades stand as a testament to both the outstanding teaching at King’s and the genuine effort she puts into her learning. We wholeheartedly recommend King’s to any parent seeking a school where a child’s academic and personal development is truly paramount. King’s is not just a local gem for Cambridgeshire families; it is an outstanding choice for parents from across the UK and overseas. Its sincere warmth, exceptional quality and steadfast focus on comprehensive development make it well worth the journey, regardless of where you live.
