The academic curriculum is appropriately challenging and regularly reviewed to provide thorough preparation for senior school entry in year 9. French is taught from reception, Latin from year 4 and ancient Greek and Spanish are available to older pupils. Considerable emphasis is placed on reading, research skills, critical thinking and examination technique so pupils are confident and well prepared for future academic challenges.

Wraparound care for day pupils is available from 7.45am until 6pm, complemented by a wide-ranging co- curricular programme. Boarding from ages eight to 13 offers a structured and nurturing environment, with flexible arrangements available to accommodate contemporary family life. The school holds strong relationships with leading senior schools, and pupils frequently progress with scholarships to Eton, Harrow, King’s Ely, Oundle, Rugby, St Mary’s School, Cambridge, The Leys, The Perse, Uppingham and Winchester.
