pouring in, the race is on to celebrate the very best in creative image making. Last year’s entries proved just how much talent is out there, and the entrants so far are setting new standards. From striking portraits to powerful monochromes, detailed macro to sweeping landscapes, the variety and quality is nothing short of exceptional. But it’s far from over yet, so this is your chance to join the ranks of our winning photographers – and even take the overall crown yourself. As before, the contest is divided into ten distinct categories: black & white, lighting, wildlife, portrait, photo editing, landscape, street, events,

macro and weddings. Whether you’re a seasoned expert or an enthusiastic hobbyist learning the craft, there’s a place for your work. Enter as many images as you like across as many categories as you want – it’s completely free to take part. From the category winners the judges will select an overall winner who will scoop £500 to spend at MPB. With thousands of cameras, lenses and accessories in stock, you’re spoilt for choice to spend the winnings. Getting involved couldn’t be easier. Simply head to the PN website, find the Competition section via the main menu and upload your images. The deadline for entries is 15 August. Once

judging is complete, the winners will be revealed in issue 123 of Photography News , on sale in September. If you’ve taken an image that you’re proud of, don’t let it sit unseen – submit it now and step into the spotlight.
