Me + Mrs Jones is an independent womenswear store selling stunning styles for special events, beautifully made everyday staples and holiday wardrobe must-haves. It’s run by co-owners Alison and Lisa, who have a passion for fashion and over 23 years of combined experience working in the sector. “It’s our shared love of clothing and all things beautiful that’s reflected in our bright and airy boutique situated just off the high street,” they tell us. “We are proud stockists of Paige Jeans, Dea Kudibal, Hartford and Annette Görtz, just to name a few – as well as gorgeous shoes from Penelope Chilvers and Kennel & Schmenger. We look forward to inspiring your new favourite outfit!” Another fashion fave is My Flair Lady, which opened its doors on Market Hill last summer. A colourful emporium of gifts, homeware, garden furniture, clothing and accessories, this is a carefully curated collection of beautiful, unique finds. Be sure to pay a visit to Blue, too, which boasts a collection of fashion- forward brands and prides itself on fantastic customer service. Showcasing a blend of top European labels including Devotion Twins, Kori, Mos Mosh, Hoff and Ash, you’ll find beautiful dresses, knitwear, bags and more in-store. “We aim to suit all budgets, with prices starting from £25 up to £450,” says founder Hayley Attridge. “Fashion is constantly evolving – we try to keep with core brands, but also add something new every season!” If you’re after something for the home, check out Angela Reed, a family-run furniture emporium passed down through five generations, with a five-floor store stocking a treasure trove of handpicked pieces – from stylish Conran sofas to handmade wooden bookshelves and cabinets. Ripples, found on the High Street, is where to head if you’re looking to make over your bathroom. Offering a bespoke design service and a showroom filled with

The town is even home to an aquarium specialist – Weston Aquatics, run by fish-keeping enthusiast Todd Weston. With more than 35 years’ worth of experience in breeding and caring for tropical fish, he boasts an extensive knowledge of the hobby. Located on Hill Street, the store has a vast range of products – for both beginners and advanced aquarists.
