TRAVEL

Fire Pit Camp, Norfolk

As well as hosting festival-style weddings, pop-ups and yoga classes, the Fire Pit Camp is a lovely location for a few nights under canvas. Take your own tent, try a fairy-lit bell tent, or opt for the ‘little hut’ – a sweet timber framed structure with proper beds and meadow views. There’s also the ‘Wren’s Nest’: a traditional bender tent, hand-woven with hazel branches – unassuming from the outside, but magical within! Guests at the Nest enjoy a mini kitchen, wood-burning fire, bedding, solar power and gorgeous crockery. Fire Pit Camp also boasts a bar, pizza restaurant and super-cool double-decker bus to hang out on. Happy camping!

THE GROVE, NORFOLK

A two-hour drive from central Cambridge, the family-run Grove in Cromer is a perfect staycation spot for city dwellers in search of R&R. For those who like bricks and mortar, there’s a Georgian house with luxurious bedrooms, or for a walk on the wild side, head to the glamping field, where you can sleep in a traditional Mongolian yurt. Equipped with beds, barbecues, fridges, hobs and electricity, the yurts are located in a peaceful corner of the Grove site, where guests can take advantage of a private woodland path to the beach by day and socialise around the firepit in the evening. A big benefit of this campsite being attached to the hotel is that guests can enjoy facilities ranging from a heated indoor pool to the award-winning, two-AA-Rosette restaurant.
