Using the platform’s Resource Manager tool which runs on a secure web browser, video engineers can spin up recognisable services such as production switchers, multiviewers, inputs, outputs, and replay with the click of a mouse. They can route signals between them on router panels with a familiar layout, and using Grass Valley’s GV.UI tool, can create operational layouts for each operator position in a production which they can share via secure web link, with operators wherever they are in the world. “We’ve designed it so that somebody with broadcast knowledge, who doesn’t yet know a lot about cloud, can still do a cloud-based remote production,” says Goerner. “In addition to making
