ixi and Comcast Technology Solutions have announced a new integration designed to help linear broadcasters transition from C-band satellite to IP-based content distribution. The solution combines Comcast Media360’s managed video services with the Zixi Software Platform to provide reliable, rights-compliant distribution across broadcast and streaming workflows. The integrated platforms support SCTE-224 rights management, SCTE-35 signalling, blackout enforcement and schedule- driven source switching. The companies say the approach gives programmers and distributors a managed migration path away from satellite infrastructure while preserving operational control and compliance. The solution also aims to simplify affiliate distribution, improve workflow efficiency and create new monetisation opportunities. Zixi and Comcast take on linear transitions Z
