PERFORMANCE: EXPOSURE LATITUDE The X-T5 is very much in keeping with other cameras, in that underexposure is tolerated far better than overexposure. Even on the image underexposed by four stops, I was able to pull the exposure back with
minimal loss of detail or shift in colour. Overexposure is a different story, however, with anything more than two stops causing problems in terms of lost detail and colour shifts. If in doubt, underexpose!

Final word
Verdict The X-T5 isn’t perfect, but it’s not far off. The biggest issue is AF tracking on moving subjects, but this is the only Achilles heel. Beyond that, it’s a fantastic camera to use and delivers wonderful results with the minimum of fuss. 24 /25 FEATURES

It’s hard to see what’s missing here. A full suite of functions are available with every aspect catered for, all wrapped round a very capable, stabilised sensor The X-T5 is the perfect combo of size, weight and tactility. Some may grumble about the LCD articulation, but that’s minor for me. It’s a shame no battery grip is available, though The 40.2-megapixel sensor delivers fab results for stills and video, with Pixel Shift Multi-Shot adding more for ultimate images.
