Frodsham & District PS wanted to help its 40 members capture some images for a forthcoming competition on the theme of performance. The club invited photographer Josh Tomalin to come in and talk about the creative process and paired up with North Wales- based, Suitcase Theatre. Benefiting from Josh’s advice, members photographed three rehearsals. This not only honed their skills, but provided images for the theatre group for publicity use for its production at Theatr Clwyd in Mold. A trip to see the final production was also organised. Two images from the play were highly commended in the competition: Miriam Manners’ print Hamlet (above) and Wynford Evans’s PDI. Frodsham & District PS meets at Castle Park Arts Centre in Frodsham on Mondays at 7.30pm. frodsham.photos
