To provide live coverage of a major surfing competition off the Tahitian coast, Pacific Broadcast used Grass Valley’s LDX 150 Series UHD/HDR cameras, capturing action above and below the waves. Pacific Broadcast developed custom waterproof housings for the new Compact LDX C150 camera, which offers exceptional quality and variability. The company also integrated third- party wireless RF transmission modules into the LDX 150 cameras, enabling wireless operation and remote control, so camera crews could capture content from previously inaccessible locations. To complement the camera system, Pacific Broadcast selected a Grass Valley K-Frame XP live production switcher with a Kayenne control panel, leveraging its HDR/ SDR conversion capabilities for optimal image quality. This collaboration ensured the LDX 150 RF cameras were delivered on time and integrated into Pacific Broadcast’s production workflow, resulting in coverage that demonstrated the beauty of surfing.

EMG/Gravity Media has created a cost- effective and sustainable remote-production workflow for England Netball, putting it to use during the Netball Super League Grand Final 2024, bringing the sport to a wider audience through BBC iPlayer and Netball Pass. Actua Sport once again relied on LiveU’s IP video ecosystem to deliver exceptional live sports coverage, this time for the European Athletics Championships in Rome. Serving as host broadcaster for the European Broadcast Union, Actua Sport produced nearly 200 hours of sustainably created live content for television and streaming platforms, capturing 15 records over six days. The Tricaster also allows quick replays in a dedicated box, for in-depth analysis without interrupting game flow. The finished product then streams to BBC iPlayer, Netball Pass and England Netball for social- media clip creation. “Remote production has proved the perfect solution for England Netball,” said Angela Gibbons, EMG UK sales director.
