NOVEMBER AT THANET PS began with the season’s second digital image open competition, with 81 images judged by Ian Howard. He had an eclectic mix of subjects to assess, and it was a challenge to select the best from each group. Chris West triumphed in group 2 with his Untitled image. Group 1 winner was John Draper with his stunning photograph of a young robin waiting to be fed, entitled Feeeeeeed me! (below). isleofthanetphotographicsociety.co.uk

Ware & District PS competed in the PAGB Inter-Club Print Competition at Smethwick on 24 October. There were 35 Clubs involved this year with 15 prints per Club. Ware came joint seventh with the Beyond Group – the last time Ware were in the top eight was in 2007. There were nearly 800 prints with eight awards, and Ware scooped three.
