reen is known as the colour of envy – but with verdant shades creeping into our homes, it will soon be the colour to envy. Helen

Moss, design consultant at Glasswells, says: “Incorporating green tones on white backdrops with natural wood, like oak furniture and large-leaf plants, links outside to in, creating mindfulness and balance.” As lockdown sent us running to nature, tones of the great outdoors have entered our living spaces, from earthy browns to mossy greens, bringing tranquillity. “Ignore the adage that blue and green should never be seen – they make a wonderful bedfellow, especially if using colours of similar weight,” says Patrick. To echo nature in your home, bring muted browns into furniture, finishes and detail, sophisticated greens to wallpaper, COORDINATE YOUR COLOURS “I would always suggest using Pinterest or home interior magazines as sources of inspiration,” says Helen. “I highly recommend reading about colour theory and investing in a colour wheel. When you’re out, take a photo of what’s beautiful or inspiring. Cut it out and stick it in a journal. Refer back regularly, start adding samples to it and fabric swatches. Before you know it, you will have created a theme without realising.” and shimmers of olive in fabric or accessories for a dash of luxury.
