The Big Switch On 2024 There’s a party on the streets of Cambridge this month and we’re all invited C ambridge BID is organising two events this month for switching on the Christmas lights, and is inviting you to join in the fun. On Thursday 14 November, the lights at Cambridge station will officially be turned on, in partnership with Star Radio and kindly sponsored by Fora. Located on Station Road, Fora offers for your help to celebrate the start of the Christmas season. Then, on Sunday 17 November, it’s time to head over to Market Square to watch the city centre light up. This year, Cambridge BID is working with Bright Horizons to deliver the Big Switch On. Bright Horizons is a market leader in early years education, providing years sector as a rewarding and important career path for anyone who wants to make a difference to the next generation. During this time of celebration, where connection and family is really evident, the switch on felt like a great partnership opportunity.” The annual Big Switch On kicks off the
Christmas season this year with Star Radio taking control of the stage, promising to entertain crowds from midday onwards. This will include a lively line-up from local performing arts clubs, choirs and a whole lot more.
