STEAK & HONOUR OPENS THE DOORS AT NEW LOCATION Burger pioneer Steak & Honour has opened a brand-new restaurant on Mill Road. Following the closure of its Wheeler Street location in 2025, founders Leo and Charley Riethoff are setting down new roots with a neighbourhood-style restaurant at the former ABC Barbecue site, right next door to sister restaurant Buren. The restaurant will feature a refreshed take on the Steak & Honour experience, with burgers served on plates, table service, shakes and a menu that continues to spotlight local suppliers and producers. Fans can expect the brand’s signature favourites – juicy patties, crispy fries and plenty of attention to detail – in a relaxed, sit-down setting designed for both everyday meals and weekend gatherings. “This new space is about evolving while staying true to what’s always made Steak & Honour special – simple, high-quality burgers made with local produce,” said Leo. “Mill Road has such an incredible independent spirit, and we have been welcomed so warmly into the community.” Find out more at steakandhonour.co.uk

Brighter, fresher flavours are celebrated in the new spring/summer menu at Browns Brasserie & Bar on Trumpington Street in Cambridge. Designed for relaxed lunches, long evenings and everything in between, new starters include asparagus and poached egg with hollandaise and crispy leeks, while seafood is the flavour of the season for mains, with a line-up of Cornish sole served with sautéed baby potatoes and clam and pancetta butter; miso-glazed salmon with a crispy sushi rice cake, shimeji mushrooms and mushroom dashi and Butterfield sea bass with Isle of Wight tomatoes, Nocellara olives and charred lemon. Other highlights include the duo of lamb, with a tender lamb fillet and crispy lamb bonbon served with pommes Anna, pancetta and a red wine jus and the risotto verde of asparagus, courgette, peas and basil pesto. Meanwhile, the dessert menu introduces a peach and rosemary twist on an Eton mess, and a salted caramel and chocolate delice with fresh raspberries, honeycomb and Belgian cocoa crumb.
