The professional-level DMG Lumiere Dash Pocket LED Kit from Rosco brings a huge spectrum of colours to a portable, handheld unit, using the same six-chip LED set as the company’s larger Mix LED units. That means the Dash can recreate over 130 colours matching Rosco’s colour gels, white in all temperatures and hues, plus colour matching to most popular light sources. While many small LED panels are made from plastic, the DMG Dash is a solidly built bit of kit that weighs only 367g/0.8lb despite being in a rugged, all-weather aluminium housing. The unit is just 128x80x28mm/5x3.1x1.1in yet pumps out up to 380 lux at 1m/39in. Its output is rated 95+ CRI and 90+ TLCI. Each light comes with a flat diffuser panel, dome diffusion panel, plastic eggcrate grid as well as a gel holder for additional Rosco gel or diffusion. Colour mode allows you to change intensity, colour temperature, hue and saturation. Gel mode has these settings, but also lets you select from a menu of standard Rosco gel colours. FX has options for lights that mimic emergency vehicles, paparazzi flashes, TV screen and firelight, and you can alter the speed of the pulses and intensity.
